Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC), Bhubaneswar, has announced 7,268 vacancies for Constable (Civil), Constable (Communication), Constable OISF, Firefighter, Firefighting Driver, Driver (PMT) and Traffic Constable. Candidates with +2 (CHSE Odisha) or 10th (BSE Odisha), depending on the post, are eligible. The age limit is 18 to 32 years as on 01 January 2026 (post-wise, with category-wise relaxation). Applications are open online from 23 October 2026 to 12 November 2026. Selection will be through a Written Exam, Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test (PM&PET), Driving Test (Constable Civil, OISF, Driver PMT, Firefighting Driver), Medical Examination and Document Verification. Women and transgender candidates cannot apply for Firefighter, Firefighting Driver and Driver (PMT), and PwD candidates are not eligible. - 5Submit the application by 12 November 2026, 10:00 PM and pay the fee by 13 November 2026, 10:00 PM. Print the application after submission. After final submission the form cannot be edited, except in the one-time window from 07 November 2026 to 12 November 2026 (up to 10:00 PM), which is final with no extension.

Q. What is the educational qualification?
A. It depends on the post: +2 (CHSE Odisha) for Constable (Civil), Firefighter, Firefighting Driver and Traffic Constable, 10th (BSE Odisha) for Constable OISF and Driver (PMT), and +2 Science or a 3-year Engineering Diploma for Constable (Communication).

A. The fee is Rs 500 for General and all other candidates except SC and ST. SC and ST candidates pay Nil. Payment is online, and the Rs 500 is refunded to applicants who appear in the exam.

A. Yes. A one-time edit and fresh-application window is open from 07 November 2026 to 12 November 2026 (up to 10:00 PM). It is final and no extension will be given.

A. Selection has four stages: a Written Exam, PM&PET with a Driving Test (Constable Civil, OISF, Driver PMT, Firefighting Driver), a Medical Examination and Document Verification.

- Women and transgender candidates are not eligible for Firefighter, Firefighting Driver and Driver (PMT).
- OBC and EWS certificates are not accepted in place of the SEBC certificate.
- There is no reserve list.
- The Rs 500 fee is refunded to applicants who appear in the exam.
- The exam district and exam date cannot be changed later. Admit cards are expected about one week before the exam.
- The edit window from 07 November 2026 to 12 November 2026 is one-time and final. No extension will be allowed.
- Group-D and Home Guard 10% reserved posts are included in the total vacancies.
- Ex-Agniveers are exempt from the Physical Efficiency Test.
