Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), Ministry of Railways, has announced 1,265 vacancies for Station Master. Candidates with a Graduate degree from a recognised university or its equivalent are eligible. The age limit is 20 to 33 years as on 01 January 2027 (up to 38 years with category-wise relaxation). Applications will open online from 27 October 2026 to 25 November 2026. Selection will be through a Computer Based Test, Computer Based Aptitude Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination. - Signature in JPG / JPEG format, 30 KB to 49 KB, black ink on white paper, running handwriting
- SC / ST certificate in PDF (below 400 KB), for candidates who want the free railway travel pass
- SC / ST certificate (Annexure I), OBC-NCL certificate (Annexure II) with self-declaration (Annexure IIA), EWS certificate (Annexure III), in original at Document Verification
- EBC certificate (Annexure IV) or BPL card or Izzat MST, for the concessional fee
- Minority community affidavit (Annexure V), for the fee waiver
- Vision Certificate (Annexure VI / VIA), in original for the CBAT
- Lasik surgery declaration (Annexure VI-B), if applicable
- Ex-Servicemen certificates (Annexure VII / VIIA), if applicable
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer, if serving
- Proof of present address, in original at Document Verification
- 1Read the CEN 08/2026 notification carefully, then go to https://rrb.indianrailways.gov.in and use the apply link given there (https://www.rrbapply.gov.in) from 27 October 2026.
- 2Log in with your existing account if you created one for the 2024, 2025 or 2026 CENs, or create a new account with a valid mobile number and email ID. These details cannot be changed later.
- 3Select ONE RRB only. It cannot be changed later, and multiple applications lead to rejection and debarment.
- 4Fill in the form, give your zone preferences, capture your live photograph and upload your signature (JPG, 30 KB to 49 KB).
- 5Submit the form by 25 November 2026 (23:59 Hrs) and pay the fee online by 27 November 2026.

Q. What is the qualification required?
A. A Graduate degree from a recognised university or its equivalent is required. Final-year candidates are not eligible.
Q. What is the application fee?
A. The fee is ₹500 for most candidates and ₹250 for Female, Transgender, Ex-Servicemen, SC, ST, Minorities and EBC. A part of the fee is refunded after the CBT.
Q. How is selection done?
A. Selection is through a Computer Based Test, a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification and a Medical Examination. Merit is 70% CBT and 30% CBAT.

- Candidates can apply to only one RRB. Applying more than once leads to rejection and debarment from future RRB and RRC exams.
- Candidates who have had Lasik surgery are not eligible for this post.
- SC / ST candidates get a free Sleeper Class travel pass for the exam stages (para 4.22 of the notification).
- An EBC certificate, BPL card or Izzat MST issued after 25 November 2026 will not be accepted for the concessional fee.
- SC / ST / OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies get no age relaxation.
