RRC SER Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) Recruitment 2026-27

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), South Eastern Railway, Kolkata, has announced 54 vacancies for Sportspersons against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) 2026-27. Candidates with a degree (Level 4/5), 12th pass (Level 2/3) or 10th pass / ITI (Level 1) along with the prescribed sports achievements are eligible. The age limit is 18 to 25 years as on 01 January 2027 (no age relaxation). Applications will open online from 31 October 2026 to 30 November 2026. Selection will be through sports trials and certificate verification. Only sportspersons with achievements earned on or after 01 April 2024 can apply. This recruitment has 1 selection stage, in the order shown below.
- Photo 3.5 x 3.5 cm, colour, not older than 3 months, JPG / JPEG up to 70 KB, 100 DPI (keep 6 copies)
- Signature and LTI on white paper in black ink within a 50 x 20 mm box, JPG 10 KB to 40 KB
- Photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Driving Licence / Voter ID), in PDF
- Educational certificate, in PDF
- Matriculation certificate for date of birth, in PDF
- Sports achievement certificates (championships concluded on or after 01 April 2024), in PDF
- Community certificate for SC / ST, OBC-NCL or EWS (Annexures I to IV), in PDF

- Ex-Servicemen discharge certificate and PPO
- Attested translation of certificates not in English or Hindi
- Originals of all documents are to be shown at the trial
- 1Go to www.rrcser.co.in and open the link "Online/E-Application for Sports Quota (OA) / 2026-27".
- 2Click "New Registration" and enter name, father's name, date of birth, community, email and mobile number. The registration number and password are sent by email and SMS.
- 3Log in, complete the form, upload photo, signature, LTI and documents / certificates, enter refund bank details and pay the fee online by 30 November 2026 (23:59 Hrs).
- 4Keep the registration number safe. No changes are allowed after final submit. Keep two print-outs. Applications received directly at RRC are not entertained.

A. There are 54 vacancies in total for this recruitment, as per the official notification.
Q. What is the age limit?
A. The age limit is 18 to 25 years as on 01 January 2027. No age relaxation is given.
Q. What is the qualification required?
A. Level 4/5 needs a degree, Level 2/3 needs 12th pass (or 10th plus ITI / Act Apprenticeship) and Level 1 needs 10th pass / ITI / NAC, plus the prescribed sports achievements.
Q. What is the application fee?
A. The fee is ₹500 for General / UR / OBC and ₹250 for SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwD / Women / Minorities / EBC. A part of the fee is refunded to candidates who appear in the trial.
Q. How is selection done?
A. Selection is by sports trials followed by certificate verification, out of 100 marks.
Q. Is there any reservation for SC / ST / OBC / EWS?
A. No post is reserved for SC / ST / OBC / EWS. Selection is on overall merit.
Q. What is the official website?

- Marks are out of 100: sports achievement 50, games skill / fitness / coach observation 40 (minimum 25 to qualify) and educational qualification 10.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 70 for Grade Pay ₹2,400 / ₹2,800, 65 for Grade Pay ₹1,900 / ₹2,000 and 60 for Grade Pay ₹1,800. In a tie, the younger candidate is preferred.
- Fee is online only; cash, cheque, DD and stamps are not accepted. Candidates who appear in the trial get a refund of ₹400 (UR / OBC) or ₹250 (SC / ST etc.), less bank charges.
- Only achievements on or after 01 April 2024 count. Trial venue and dates will be intimated to candidates.
- Selected candidates must sign a 5-year service bond. Clerk-cum-Typist must pass typing at 30 wpm English or 25 wpm Hindi within 4 years.
